I belong to a local gym. CrossFit Brisbane. It’s a little more than just a gym. Each day people come in, they work out, challenge themselves, reach new heights, make friends and have fun.
Every year a worldwide competition for the CrossFit community is held. Five challenging workouts over five weeks. For most it something fun to participate in. A way to check progress, to see how far you have come in a year. For others is it a serious competition, a chance to further their athletic career. Over the last 5 weeks I have had the pleasure photographing the CrossFit Open competition this year at CrossFit Brisbane. I have witnessed an atmosphere of support and encouragement. I’ve seen new PR’s reached. Challenges conquered.
